Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA seeks a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for instrument set assembly, decontamination, and sterilization. You will prepare sterile instrument sets and collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to ensure timely delivery and inventory accuracy.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and CST or Central Sterile Tech certification, with 3 years of Central Sterile experience, or CST certification in lieu of experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program or CST certification.
• Three years of Central Sterile experience required, or no experience if CST-certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing instruments.
• Perform sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to provide sterile instrument sets and case carts.
• Assist in maintaining consistent workflow and provide superior customer service.
