Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Production Supervisor for Sterile Services to lead a team of sterilisation technicians, coordinate staff and ensure a safe, efficient service across operating theatres and wards.

You will manage preparation of contaminated instruments, maintain traceability, use ERoster software, and contribute to meeting national targets while communicating with teams and adapting to shifting priorities.

Qualifications

• Lead a team of sterilisation technicians to ensure an effective service.
• Process and prepare contaminated re-usable surgical instrumentation for use in hospital operating theatres, wards and departments.

Responsibilities

• Document and identify staff training needs.
• Knowledge of sterile services tracking and traceability systems.
• Ability to use ERoster Software.
• Supervise and monitor the delivery of the Trust Sterile Services and adjust to meet demands of other departments.
• Communicate with the team via bulletins, department newsletters and team briefings.
• Ensure resources within the department are used to maximum effect.
