Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a part-time Sterilisation Technician for the Sterile Services Department at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The role covers decontamination, sterilisation and distribution of sterile packs for Endoscopy and operating theatres.

The post is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 14:00–20:00, with training offered for the right candidate and the opportunity to develop within a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in accredited Sterile Services preferable.
• Willingness to undergo training as required.
• Decontamination and sterilisation of surgical instruments.
• Preparation of sterile procedure packs for Endoscopy.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilise surgical instruments.
• Provide sterile procedure packs to Endoscopy and NHS Trust.
• Collaborate as part of a team of Sterilisation/Endoscopy Technicians.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment in Sterile Services.
