Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learn the layout and functions of all areas within the sterile processing department (decontamination, prep and pack, case carts, assembly, sterilization, etc.).
• Understand major processes including decontamination, sterilization, sterile storage, assembly, case cart picking, and testing.
• Instrument handling and inspection; identify missing or malfunctioning parts.
• Assist in collecting and cleaning instruments in decontamination and break down of case carts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the unit in accordance with Infection Control standards.
