Job summary

EmergeOrtho is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the team in North Carolina. Under supervision, you will ensure proper care and maintenance of surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterilization processes, operating with aseptic technique and communicating with OR staff.

Relevant CSPDT/CRCST certification and 3 years sterile processing experience are preferred. The role emphasizes room turnovers, preference card updates, and cost containment efforts, with benefits based on hours

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile processing preferred (3 years).
• Certification CSPDT (CBSPD) or CRCST (IAHCSMM) preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, cleaning, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Maintain instrument trays: complete stock and working order.
• Follow universal precautions for biohazard materials.
• Enter information into computer systems and complete continuing education.
• Participate in process improvement and cost containment in OR.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
