Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital in Durham, NC seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to maintain surgical instrumentation, equipment and sterilization processes under the supervision of the Sterile Processing supervisor and the OR Director.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Must be able to communicate and understand English (verbal and written).
• Certification in Sterile Processing preferred.
• Minimum of one year Sterile Processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation, equipment and sterilization processes.
• Work under supervision of the Sterile Processing supervisor and the OR Director.
• Communicate with Operating Room staff and monitor daily schedule changes in instrumentation.
• Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure with professionalism and tact.
