Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to support sterile instrument sets and equipment through assembly, sterilization, and storage. You will collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff to ensure timely delivery and high standards.

Required education includes HS/GED and CST or Central Sterile Tech training; 3 years CS experience if CST not held. Certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech required or CST certificate in lieu.
• 3 years Central Sterile experience required or CST certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent workflow and delivering superior customer service.
