Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to maintain standards for instrument preparation, sterilization, and storage. Certification in Central Sterile Technology is preferred; GED or higher required. Some experience is required, with options for CST-certified candidates.

Qualifications

• GED or higher required for position.
• Graduate of a Central Sterile Tech program required or
• In lieu of CST, 3 years of Central Sterile experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with Perioperative Nursing to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts on time and accurately.
• Assists in maintaining steady workflow while delivering superior customer service.
