Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to work under SPD supervision. You will process sterile instruments, decontaminate, assemble, autoclave and dispatch items while supporting patient care through safe, compliant sterilization practices.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and national certification in sterile processing, with six months of preferred experience.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• National certification in Sterile Processing required.
• Maintains 12 continuing education points per year for continued Core Course completion or certification.

Responsabilidades

• Decontaminates supplies and equipment following safety guidelines.
• Inspects and cleans washer drains.
• Assembles instruments prior to washing and decontamination.
• Calculates proper loading technique for washers.
• Assists with starting up autoclaves and Sterrad to keep workflow moving.
• Keeps track of instrument sets and labeling for traceability.
• Completes Sterilization Load Sheets and log entries.
• Folds and wraps linen and loads trays accurately.
