Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician who will work under the SPD Manager and Shift Lead to process sterile instruments. The role requires knowledge of decontamination, assembly, autoclaving, and proper packaging to support patient care.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, with national certification in Sterile Processing or Surgical Technologist certification and 12 CE points per year.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• National certification in Sterile Processing or Surgical Technologist Certification required; 12 CE points annually.
• Six months Sterile Processing experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Decontaminate, assemble, autoclave and dispatch sterile instruments per guidelines.
• Inspect and clean instruments, ensure proper wrapping and labeling.
• Operate washers, autoclaves, and Sterrad equipment as time permits.
• Maintain logs, load sheets, and inventory for sterile supplies.
