Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to support decontamination, assembly and sterilization of instruments in a fast-paced surgery and sterile processing environment.

Under supervision, you will follow safety guidelines, maintain logs, collaborate with the SPD team, and ensure patient care through quality control and adherence to sterilization standards. Experience with autoclaves and Sterrad is helpful.

Formación

• National certification in Sterile Processing is required.
• Maintains 12 continuing education points per year for continued Core Course completion or certification or Surgical Technologist Certification is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsabilidades

• Decontaminates supplies and equipment per safety guidelines.
• Performs instrument inspection and cleaning after use.
• Assembles instruments and loads washers and sterilizers correctly.
• Operates autoclaves and Sterrad to keep workflow moving.
• Labels and tapes packages accurately with dates and initials.
• Inspects instruments for proper working order before use.
• Keeps decontam area stocked with supplies.
• Completes sterilization load logs and records.
