Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a dedicated Central Service Technician to support the operating room team by decontaminating, sterilizing and distributing instruments and equipment. You will work under the supervision of the Central Service leadership and collaborate with surgical staff to ensure patient safety.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, CST certification within one year, and excellent teamwork, communication and basic computer skills.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Central Service Technician certification required within one year of hire.
• Vocational program in Central Service is preferred.
• One year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and good communication skills are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable instruments and equipment for surgical and other procedures.
• Cleaning, packaging and re-processing of reusable surgical equipment and scopes per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain inventory and storage of processed supplies.
• Support the surgical team by meeting the needs of the sterile core.
