The role reports to Central Service leadership and requires reliable on-call readiness. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and either instrument experience or Central Service certification within a year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of instrumentation experience or completed Central Service vocational program with full certification.
• Central Service certification within one year of hire preferred; vocational training beneficial.
• Good verbal and written communication; concise by phone and in person.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to work with sterile processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization and storage of reusable instruments.
• Cleaning, packaging and re-processing of surgical equipment per guidelines.
• Maintain inventory and support sterile core needs for the surgical team.
• Support operating room team and meet 45-minute on-call requirements.
