Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Nationally recognized Sterile Processing certification required within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephone and assists callers to obtain needed items.
• Assembles supplies and prepares case carts for procedures.
• Delivers sterile and non-sterile instrumentation and equipment around the hospital.
• Delivers case carts to the Surgery Department as scheduled.
• Maintains backup carts and ensures packaging integrity.
• Performs cleaning, decontamination, and inspection of instruments for cleanliness and functionality.
• Operates processing equipment and conducts sterilization monitoring.
• Upholds safety, HIPAA, and department policies at all times.
