Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Non-Certified to inspect, clean, assemble, test, and process patient care equipment per policy and regulatory standards. The role supports aseptic packaging and quality assurance in a hospital setting.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and pursue CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD certification within 2 years. EPIC experience is preferred. Mercy Health offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certification within 2 years after hire for CRCST, HSPA or CBSPD.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and processing of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment.
• Uses detergents and disinfectants per standard practices.
• Manages inventory and supplies across facility areas.
• Maintains quality assurance and record-keeping for sterilization.
• Operates sterilizers and ensures aseptic packaging and testing.
• Documents activities and reports variances affecting Sterile products.
