Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Clerk to maintain instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized, wrapped, disinfected and ready for surgical cases. The role focuses on aseptic technique, instrument handling and adherence to standard sterilization procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities include supporting the Clinical Leader and RN, stocking processing areas, and assisting with inventory management per facility policy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterilization procedures and aseptic technique.
• Understanding of standards for sterile technique in clinical settings.
• Experience with cleaning, wrapping, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments.
• Familiarity with inventory management and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an Instrument Processing Technician under supervision.
• Know/perform sterilization and disinfection of instruments and equipment.
• Maintain instrument processing area and equipment.
• Prepare instrumentation and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist with purchasing supplies and inventory management as needed.
