Position Title: Sterile Processing Technician II

In this fast-paced environment, you’ll be responsible for cleaning and decontaminating medical equipment and instruments, preparing sterile trays, operating sterilization equipment, and ensuring all items are ready for use. You’ll help maintain clean and organized department spaces, assist with deliveries, answer phones, and support the team by participating in training and in-service programs. Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for cleaning and decontaminating medical equipment and instrumentation; preparing sterile procedure trays and equipment; operating steam, low-temperature sterilizers, and other sterilization equipment used within CSP; maintaining sterile/clean storage and all other department areas; answering phones and service doors; delivering requested items; completing all required documentation; maintaining the standards of the organization’s mission, goals, and safety behaviors; and assisting in other areas as requested. Participate in training and in-service programs for staff and students. Assume responsibility and accountability for quality performance at all times and represent the CSP department professionally.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Central Service Technician training course preferred.

Experience:

• Four years of experience in sterile processing required.

Certification/Licensure:

• Certification in central sterile processing required.
