Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong communication.
• Ability to follow processes and patient safety priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process, sterilize, and document sterility of patient care supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Prepare and assemble instrument sets and surgery trays using count sheets.
• Verify proper function and integrity of instruments.
• Label instruments correctly and return to proper location.
• Maintain quality in instrumentation to support patient safety and department efficiency.
• Familiar with AAMI, Joint Commission and APIC infection control standards.
