Job summary

Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Pediatric Sterile Processing Technician to support the Sterile Processing Department at Wolfson Surgery Center. This full-time evening position runs Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 7:30pm.

Responsibilities include sterilization principles, proper wrapping, instrumentation decontamination, and assembly into trays. Requires CRCST or CSPDT certification and 1-2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CRCST certification required or CSPDT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize duties.

This position is a Full-Time, Evenings position working Monday through Friday from 11:00am to 7:30pm.

• Wrap instruments/linen properly, while selecting correct supplies to be used for sterilization.
• Able to prioritize duties.
• Knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes they perform
• Able to decontaminate surgical instrumentation and re-assemble into trays

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years Instrument Experience
• 1-2 years Surgical Instrumentation ExperienceLinen Processing Experience
• Knowledge of regulatory protocols.

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). Required Or
• Certification Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) Required Or

This Sterile Processing Technician position will be located in the Wolfson Surgery Center.
