Job summary

Under supervision, the technician will operate autoclaves, hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, sonic cleaners, and automated washers, ensuring proper storage, dating, and rotation of sterile equipment.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Central Service Technician or Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification.
• 1 year of experience or graduate from a central service program.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminating, assembling and sterilizing reusable instruments.
• Operationally checking and distributing instrumentation and implants.
• Storing, dating, rotating and distributing sterile items throughout the hospital.
