Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for full-time, evening 8-hour shifts.

The role involves decontaminating, assembling and sterilizing reusable surgical instrumentation, and distributing items across the hospital. Under supervision, the technician will operate autoclaves, hydrogen peroxide sterilizers, sonic cleaners, and automated washers, ensuring proper storage, dating, and rotation of sterile equipment.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Central Service Technician or Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification.
• 1 year of experience or graduate from a central service program.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminating, assembling and sterilizing reusable instruments.
• Operationally checking and distributing instrumentation and implants.
• Storing, dating, rotating and distributing sterile items throughout the hospital.

Sterile Processing Technician atProvidence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA. Positions available are Full - Time, you will work 8-hour Evening shifts in this role.

Under supervision this position is responsible for decontaminating, operationally checking, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation and implants throughout the hospital. Operates steam (autoclave), H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) sterilizers, sonic equipment, automated washers and heat sealers; store, date, rotate and distribute reusable surgical/clinical instrumentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association, or
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• 1 year of experience, or
  • Graduate from a central service program.
