Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician 1 to join our surgical support team. Under supervision, you will perform decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and storage of instrumentation, ensuring cleanliness and safety for procedures.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification (CBSPD or HSPA) required within 12 months of hire.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Decontamination & Cleaning: safely clean, disinfect, and decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment.
• Operate washers, ultrasonic machines, and testing equipment.
• Identify equipment issues and communicate repair needs.
• Prep & Packaging: inspect, assemble, and prepare instrument trays per standards.
• Ensure instruments are functional, complete, and debris-free.
• Package items correctly for sterilization with indicators.
• Sterilization & Storage: operate sterilizers and monitor cycles.
• Perform routine testing and document results.
• Maintain sterile inventory and transport supplies.
• Case Support & Service: build surgical case carts and ensure supplies are ready.
• Partner with OR teams to meet surgical needs in real time.
