Job summary

Sanford is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure all surgical supplies and instruments are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored and tracked for quality and timeliness across the health system. The role requires adherence to SOPs and infection prevention guidelines, recognizing processing errors and following procedures.

Prior Sterile Processing or Central Distribution experience and CRCST certification are preferred, with potential

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 12 months experience in Sterile Processing and/or Central Distribution strongly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and strong communication and computer skills.
• Must be certified and maintain certification in Central Service Technology.
• If working in Fargo, North Dakota, CRCST certification required within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Follows all standard operating procedures (SOP) and policies and Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines. Able to recognize potential and actual processing errors and follow-up according to procedure or management instruction. Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintains continuity in work flow. Utilizes applicable inventory systems in use.

Qualifications
