Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to prepare, clean, process and store supplies and instruments. We provide training on policies, a supplied work attire, and a favorable schedule with opportunities for career growth.

You should understand medical terminology, have strong customer service and communication skills. Prior central processing or healthcare experience is preferred; CRCST certification is strongly preferred within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring all patient care and surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are properly inventoried, inspected, stored, distributed and reprocessed in a timely manner
• Follows all standard operating procedures
• Understands and demonstrates all policies and infection prevention and control guidelines
• Able to recognize potential and actual processing errors and follow-up according to procedure or management instruction
• Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintains continuity in workflow
• Utilizes applicable inventory systems in use

Department Details

Are you a first year Surgical Technologist student wanting to gain hand-on experience that will help you in your future career? This role is for you! We are looking for Surg Tech student to work 20 hours/week during school, and flexible scheduling during school breaks and the summer in our Sterile Processing department.

Job Summary

As a Sterile Processing Technician you will be preparing, cleaning, processing, and storing supplies and surgical instruments for patient care.
