Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking an Associate Sterile Processing Technician. You will prepare, clean, process, and store surgical instruments and supplies, with on-the-job training provided. The role supports patient care with attention to detail and strong communication with hospital staff.

The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 2pm-10:30pm, with two holidays per year. There are five levels of responsibility and pay growth within the department, plus access to Daily Pay for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare central processing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong phone and computer skills.
• CRCST certification preferred within 24 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all patient care and surgical supplies, equipment, and instruments are properly inventoried, inspected, stored, distributed and reprocessed in a timely manner.
• Follows all standard operating procedures.
• Understands and demonstrates infection prevention and control guidelines.
• Recognizes potential and actual processing errors and follows up according to procedure or management instruction.
• Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and maintains workflow continuity.
• Utilizes applicable inventory systems in use.

Department Details

Schedule is Monday-Friday, no weekends, from 2pm-10:30pm. Schedule would include 2 holidays per year.

No experience necessary – as an Associate Sterile Processing Technician you will receive on the job training to prepare, clean, process, and store supplies and surgical instruments for patient care. You will play a vital role in ensuring clean, safe, sterile instruments and equipment are available to hospital staff for use. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Prior experience in central processing or healthcare environment is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Must have strong phone and computer skills, with ability to navigate the internet and use handheld devices.

Certified in Central Service Technology (CRCST) is strongly preferred within 24 months of date of hire.
