Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, decontaminate, and sterilize instruments for the OR and other departments. You will maintain records, coordinate with repair vendors, and monitor autoclaves to ensure instrument integrity.

The role is a 0.2 FTE day/evening shift, non-union, with shift pay differentials. Certification in CSPDT or CRCST is preferred or obtained within one year of hire; high school diploma or equivalent required; computer skills

Lakeview Hospital is looking to hire a Sterile Processing Technician! Come be a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.

The Sterile Processing Technician cleans, decontaminates, and sterilizes all instrumentation and associated equipment for the OR and other hospital departments. The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for accurately completing all records pertinent to the sterilization process, working with the repair vendor to maintain the integrity of instrumentation, and monitoring all autoclaves (and arranging for any maintenance needed).

Work Schedule:

• 12:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m., with call on weekends.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One of the following:
  • Current CSPDT from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (or obtained within one year of hire date).
  • Current CRCST from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (or obtained within one year of hire date).
• Computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework in sterile processing or equivalent sterile processing technician experience.
• Certification in sterilization.
• Previous knowledge and experience with sterilization in a hospital or ambulatory surgical center.

Additional Information:

This is a non-union 0.2 FTE (8 hours per pay period) day/evening shift position, working in Stillwater, MN. The full salary range for this position with certification is $24.26-$31.57 per hour, based on experience and internal equity, plus shift differentials. Without certification, the range is $23.86-$31.17 per hour. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is eligible for benefits.
