Shift differentials

Job summary

Montage Health is seeking an Instrument Technician to support perioperative services across the OR, Short Stay Unit and PACU. You will clean, assemble, sterilize, disinfect instruments and equipment, and manage sterilization documentation.

The role requires sterile processing experience or certification, a high school diploma or GED plus a sterile processing course, and CRCST or CSPDT certification. Full-time schedule is 10:00 to 18:30 with rotating weekends; wage includes evening and night

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sterile processing or current certification required.
• High school diploma or GED required; sterile processing course or equivalent experience required.
• Certification from HSPA - CRCST or CBSPD - CSPDT required.

Job Description

Under the department leadership, the Instrument Technician is responsible to provide support services in the perioperative setting, including main OR, Short Stay Unit, and the PACU and all other hospital departments. Cleans, assembles equipment, sterilizes and disinfects supplies, instruments, and equipment according to established policies and procedures. Performs material management functions in relation to par levels. Accurately documents the sterilization process.

Experience

• Previous experience in sterile processing or current certification in sterile processing required.

Education

• High school diploma, G.E.D. required. Completion of a sterile processing course or equivalent work experience in instrument processing required.

Licensure/Certifications

• Certification from HSPA - CRCST or CBSPD - CSPDT required.
