Job summary

Santa Barbara Surgery Center is hiring a Full Time Sterile Processing Technician. The role focuses on maintaining and caring for all surgical instruments and preparing supplies for surgery cases.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday daytime with no call, nights, weekends, or holidays. Starting hourly range is $25–$36/hour depending on experience, with comprehensive benefits and eligibility for additional voluntary programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Sterile processing certification program preferred.
• Experience in sterile processing in a medical setting.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred.
• Ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians

Santa Barbara Surgery Center is a fast paced, multi-specialty, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

What You Will Do (Job Summary):

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Monday-Friday daytime work schedule.

NO call required.

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours.

Starting Hourly Range: $25 - $36/hour depending on experience
