Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc in San Antonio is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to maintain and prepare surgical instruments for cases across ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pain Management and Spine. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of sterile processing experience.
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program preferred.
• CBSPD or IACHSMM certification required.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers; familiarity with OR instrumentation and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and cares for all surgical instruments and prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
• Ensures proper cleaning, sterilization, and packaging of instruments for OR use.
• Supports supply flow to operating rooms based on the surgical schedule.

Sterile Processing Tech

San Antonio Med Center Surgery Center. We have 3 OR rooms and 1 treatment room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pain Management and Spine.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and late evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments and prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 Years Of Sterile Processing Experience
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
• CBSPD or IACHSMM required
• Experience with all types of sterilizers
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
