Job summary

Same Day Surgery Center of Central Jersey is seeking an immediate Per Diem Sterile Processing Technician to care for and maintain all surgical instrumentation and prepare sets for surgery cases. The role supports the OR team in a fast-paced ambulatory facility.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a sterile processing program, and 1–2 years of experience with sterilizers, including Sterrad. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of a sterile processing certification program.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification is preferred but not required for the role.
• 1–2 years of sterile processing experience; familiarity with sterilizers.
• Knows OR instrumentation and operation of steam/gravity sterilizers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare all surgical instrumentation for cases.
• Set up supplies and instruments for surgery as needed.

Sterile Processing Technician at Same Day Surgery Center of Central Jersey

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification Program.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
• 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Understands operation of steam/gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Pay Range

$25.00/hr-$34.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
