Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Sterile Processing Technician training or Surgical Tech training, or current enrollment in a Sterile Processing Cert program.
• CRCST certification within 1 year required.
• Experience in sterile processing or surgical technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates, assembles and sterilizes instrumentation according to national guidelines and internal standards.
• Operates departmental equipment within approved guidelines and procedures.
• Maintains quality control with thorough documentation of sterilization processes.
• Prioritizes and communicates customer needs within the department and with customers.
• Keeps workspace clean and safe; identifies instrumentation and equipment used in all areas.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager related to Sterile Processing.
• Demonstrates professional competencies required by the unit and department.
