The role provides and customer-focused service to all Health System team members, leadership and medical staff and to the patients/visitors.**Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions*** Decontaminates, assembles and sterilizes instrumentation according to national guidelines and internal standards.* Operates departmental equipment within appropriate guidelines/policies/procedures.* Demonstrates high levels of quality control by following departmental policies/procedures and thorough documentation of sterilization process.* Effectively prioritizes and communicates customer needs within the department and with customers.* Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.* Understands and identifies instrumentation and equipment utilized in all customer areas.* Performs other assigned duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager related to Sterile Processing.* Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.* These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
