Job summary

Comprehensive Joint & Spine Institute is seeking a per diem Sterile Processing Technician to maintain and care for surgical instruments and to prepare supplies for surgeries. This role supports our ambulatory care setting with flexibility in scheduling.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 1–2 years of sterile processing experience; certification is preferred. Knowledge of sterilizers, OR instrumentation, and medical terminology is expected, with the ability to adapt to changing

Qualifications

• Sterile processing certification preferred.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures.

Comprehensive Outpatient Joint and Spine Institute (COJSI) is an advanced ambulatory surgery center established in 2021 offering patients the option to have their orthopedic, spine or pain management procedure performed outside the stressful hospital setting.

Sterile Processing Tech at Comprehensive Joint & Spine Institute

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
• Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
• Experience with all types of sterilizers
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
