Shift: Nights 9:30pm-6am. Minimum 1 year of hospital experience required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will ensure the safety and well-being of patients by meticulously cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and storing surgical instruments. You will provide necessary instruments for surgery and other departments, with attention to detail being vital.

• Inspect, assemble, and test instrumentation for proper functioning; identify and report malfunctioning or missing instruments.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, document all processes, and perform daily testing.
• Prepare, assemble, and package instruments for surgery and hospital departments.
• Ensure all instrumentation is correct and accurate for surgical sets and trays.
• Pull case cart sheets, prepare case carts, and maintain inventory and supplies.
• Audit trays and track loaner equipment, maintaining accurate records for infection control.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization processes preferred.
• Minimum one year experience in a surgical or healthcare setting.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Knowledge of sterilization equipment functions preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and take direction from multiple sources.
• Flexibility with task priorities and schedules.
