Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you ensure patient safety by meticulously cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and storing surgical instruments. You provide necessary instruments for surgeries and hospital departments, contributing to high standards of care.

• Inspect, assemble, and test instrumentation for proper function; identify and report malfunctioning or missing instruments.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, document processes, and conduct machine testing.
• Prepare, assemble, and package instruments for surgery and other departments.
• Ensure accuracy in surgical sets, trays, and case carts preparation.
• Maintain inventories and supplies in storage areas and equipment.
• Audit trays and track loaner equipment, maintaining accurate records for infection control.

Qualifications needed:

• High School Graduate / GED
• 1 year of experience in sterile processing or as an OR technician (preferred).
