Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Sterile Processing Instrument Technician II to support Decontamination, Processing and Sterilization operations. You will clean, inspect, and assemble instruments, ensuring readiness for high-level disinfection or sterilization per Manufacturer Instructions of Use and hospital policies.

The role requires CRCST or CSPDT certification and at least 6 months of Sterile Processing experience or 400 hours hands-on, plus basic computer skills and PPE compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months Sterile Processing experience or 400 hours hands-on.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Follow Decontamination, Processing, and Sterilization procedures.
• Inspect, test, and assemble instruments for high-level disinfection or sterilization.
• Maintain documentation of processes in logs or computer systems.
• Prioritize instrumentation, answer phones, and dispatch instruments and supplies.

Education
