Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in California is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to maintain and distribute disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and recent experience in sterile processing; CSPDT certification is preferred. This position is covered by a SEIU-UHW collective bargaining agreement.

You will work varied shifts with an 8/40 schedule and respond to on-call needs as assigned.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• Recent sterile processing technician experience preferred.
• CSPDT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper maintenance and distribution of disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Document instrument loads and monitor sterilization processes and results.
• Collaborate with SPD lead and nursing units to ensure safe, ready-to-use instruments.
• Load and operate washers/sterilizers and maintain clean, properly labeled trays.
• Support inventory, stock replenishment, and adherence to infection prevention standards.
