Mayo Clinic is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to support operating room teams by preparing and delivering sterile supplies for surgical procedures. Under supervision, you will clean, package, and process instruments, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage in the core.

You will also operate autoclaves, washer/disinfector, and ultrasonic cleaners with attention to safety and accuracy. The role requires CRCST certification within 18 months of hire, and typically 2+ years of related

Qualifications

• CRCST certification within 18 months of hire.
• 2+ years of sterilization experience in surgical instrumentation.
• Must be 18 years of age or older at start date.
• Adaptable to perioperative setting and patient-focused communication.
• Ability to handle 25+ pound lifts and occasional overhead work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver medical/surgical supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Clean, package, and process surgical instruments and maintain inventory.
• Operate and troubleshoot autoclaves, washer/disinfector, and ultrasonic cleaners.
• Use sterilization tracking applications to document processing steps.
