Job summary

Capital Health in New Jersey is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble and sterilize surgical instruments. You will operate washers and sterilizers, manage instrument inventory and ensure timely distribution to the operating room.

The role requires a CRCST certification or equivalent NJ-recognized program, and at least one year of related experience. High school diploma or equivalent is required and you will precept new staff.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble and sterilize surgical instrumentation per standards.
• Operate washers, sterilizers and related equipment; document results.
• Triages, inventories and ensures timely distribution to operating room.
• Mentor new employees and act as resource for team.
