Qualifikationen

• Must follow oral and written instructions and perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of AAMI and AORN standards.

Aufgaben

• Decontamination, disinfection and cleaning of reusable surgical instruments.
• Perform sterilization using steam and chemical methods with proper documentation.
• Enter/modify/search instrument tracking information and assist with case prep.
• Handle infection control procedures during transfer and transport of sterile packages.
• Interact with vendors and surgical reps for loaner trays and CEU receipts.
• Follow industry standards and best practices per AAMI and AORN.
• Provide customer service to operating rooms and external clinics; support education of peers.
