Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an experienced Central Sterile Technician for the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. This night shift (11:00pm–7:30am, Monday–Friday) handles decontamination, sterilization, and instrument assembly to support patient care.

Work includes operating washers and sterilizers and maintaining instrument traceability. Required are a High School Diploma, 1–2 years in central sterile settings, and CRCST or CSPDT certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.
• 1-2 years central sterile experience in healthcare.
• Knowledge of sterile processing, IFU and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instruments.
• Operate washers, sterilizers, and related equipment.
• Maintain instrument traceability and inventory.
• Ensure regulatory, accreditation, and infection prevention standards.
• Participate in training and competency validation.
