Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the night shift. The role is full time or part time (40 hours weekly) with hours from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am and rotating weekends/holidays. The ideal candidate will have a GED or high school equivalency, and CBSPD/IAHCSMM certification is strongly preferred.

Two years of sterile processing or operating room experience is desired. A $5K sign-on bonus is offered for 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Education: GED/High School Equivalent required.
• Certification: CBSPD or IAHCSMM strongly preferred.
• Experience: Two years of sterile processing or operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Execute established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and cart setup.
• Follow procedures to ensure decontamination completion.
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas and ensure correct labeling by department.
