Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for the Evening Shift. You will play a critical role in protecting patient safety by ensuring instruments and supplies are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for procedures.

You will support surgical teams by organizing trays and coordinating with nurses and surgeons to ensure smooth, efficient operations. Responsibilities include monitoring cycles, documenting results, and safely handling hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• Enrollment or Completion of Sterile Processing Tech program Required.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• 1 or more years of experience preferred.
• 10:30pm-7:00am Shift.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.
