Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the 10:00 AM–6:30 PM shift. You will clean, decontaminate, sterilize instruments and prep carts, ensuring readiness for the operating room.

You will handle receiving, storing, and distributing supplies, maintain inventory data, and collaborate with SPD team. A strong attention to detail and reliability are essential; lifting up to 50 lbs may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in Central Service or Instrument Tech, or Surgical Tech program.
• 5+ years instrument tech experience in OR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and prep carts.
• Pack and prepare surgical case carts for the OR.
• Handle receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and equipment.
• Maintain data entry and inventory control.
