Job summary

University Health Truman Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM shift in Kansas City, MO. You will clean, decontaminate, sterilize instruments, and assemble case carts for the OR, handling receiving, storage and distribution of supplies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and either a Central Service/Instrument Tech certification or Surgical Tech training, or 5+ years of OR instrument experience. Computer data entry fluency is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Central Service or Instrument Tech certification/program or Surgical Tech graduate or 5+ years OR experience.
• Must be computer literate and able to input data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments as the SPD expert.
• Prepare and pack surgical case carts to support the OR.
• Receive, store, and distribute supplies and equipment as needed.
• Maintain data entry and inventory control to keep SPD organized.
• Be a collaborative team member across SPD areas.
