Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment. The role involves preparing case carts, stocking supplies, and supporting inventory and instrument rounds across departments.

You will follow IFUs, operate sterilizers, and maintain logs to ensure safety and quality. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail for sterile processing procedures.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store and distribute instruments.
• Prepare sterile case carts and assist with inventory.
• Operate sterilizers, washers, and endoscope reprocessors.
• Maintain documentation and logs for quality control and safety.
• Provide courteous customer service and respond to requests.
