Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute hospital OR or as a Surgical Technician in a Sterile Processing Department.
• High School Diploma or GED and completion of an accredited sterile processing program with 400 clinical hours or a Surgical Technician program.
• Certification in Sterile Processing or Central Service Technician per applicable board/certification.

Responsibilities

• Fill orders from requesting departments and prepare OR case carts per cards.
• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate, assemble, inspect and wrap all surgical instruments and sterile sets.
• Operate sterilization equipment and document sterilizer records.
• Maintain instrument integrity and restock supplies per department policy.
• Provide customer service to internal and external customers and work collaboratively.
