Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in San Diego, CA seeks a Sterile Processing Technician I to ensure proper handling and distribution of instruments and supplies for patient care. The role requires CSPDT or CRCST certification and at least 2 years of acute care experience, with weekend rotation and non-on-call schedule.

You will maintain instrument loads, document sterilization processes, and coordinate with OR teams to support a high‑quality surgical environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2 Years Experience in an acute care hospital, sterile processing, or surgery department.
• CSPDT - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution OR CRCST - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) - REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and distribute disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Communicate malfunctions or loads to Lead Technician or Manager; keep shift reports updated.
• Oversee service lines: inventory, instruments, equipment, and par level maintenance; provide in-service education.
