Job summary

Sharp HealthCare in California seeks a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments. The role requires a high school diploma and recent SPD experience or completion of an accredited program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a sterile processing technician within the last 12 months; or graduate of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and distribute disposable supplies and durable medical equipment for patient care.
• Communicate load contents and MSDS information clearly across shifts.
• Document sterilizer loads, testing results, and actions taken during load recalls.
• Disassemble, clean, sterilize, assemble, label, and inspect instrument sets.
• Prepare case carts for surgery and restock carts as needed.
• Manage time and resources efficiently and support infection control standards.
