Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of sterilizers, surgical instrumentation, and medical equipment.
• CRCST or CBSPD Certification (must not be provisional).
• One year of SPD experience acceptable in lieu of certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, store and distribute instruments and supplies used in procedures for patient care.
• Clean and disinfect equipment according to aseptic principles.
• Respond to urgent sterilization or delivery requests to prevent patient exposure to bioburden.
• Test and record sterilizer performance; maintain control systems for supplies and equipment.
